David started composing and arranging as a teenager for local big bands and orchestras in the Bedfordshire area, where he grew up. His skills were refined at the University of York, where he achieved a BA (Hons) in Music, graduating in 2012.

Almost immediately he started working on board luxury cruise ships, as part of the house orchestras which is where he was first exposed to the world of headline cabaret performers and all which that role entails. Very quickly with his combination of perfect pitch and skills with Sibelius & Logic, he was starting to write for a variety of names in the business; from UK/US chart-toppers, to Eurovision winners, to West End/Broadway royalty.

Having risen through the ranks on ships, he became one of the youngest pro MD’s on the circuit aged just 21. At 22, he was writing the production shows for two major cruise lines- providing the band sheet music, plus click & full backing tracks. He left life at sea to take up a managerial role at two separate companies, Explosive Productions & Live Business. At each one he was in writing the headline shows for their cruise & corporate clients, while still working freelance for guest cabaret artistes.

In early 2020 David took the plunge to set up his own company, Dots on Demand. Having worked as an MD on ships and seen the varying quality of sheet music & tracks, also hearing stories of people being vastly overcharged, he felt the time was right to bundle all his skills together to offer the full musical package to clients, without them breaking the bank.

Since launch Dots on Demand has become bywords for quality and reliability for music across the industry, and serves clients and companies worldwide with all their musical needs. As well as running this company David also works alongside renowned production company ISG, providing material for their shows, including both arranging for and conducting their highly acclaimed Ibiza in Symphony orchestra. Furthermore he regularly performs freelance as a pianist, guitarist, bassist, trombonist and musical director internationally.
